"Perfect place to stay in the mountains."

We loved our stay there and wished we stayed longer. The setting is perfect and the host was lovely and took time to talk to us and tell us very interesting things about the culture. We struggled a bit to find it but arrived late and he came to take us, which was very nice. We would come back!

"Great Homestay for hiking and relaxing"

My friend and I, we stayed 3 nights in this beautiful homestay which is a big space on the upper floor of the family’s living space. Stevens and Dayness son mickfanaka is very attentive and knowledgeable about plants : he grows own vegetable which we could enjoy for the breakfast on our cozy balcony with a view over the valley. The location is quiet and a 10 minutes up the hill from the marketplace. We appreciated the warm and welcoming atmosphere in the house and had great talks about South Africa ( where the family lived for 16 years) and Tanzania for sure! we could have stayed much longer and it feels like it was not the last time we met. We had a well organised hiking trip to Magamba national park with a friend who is guide !

"Home away from home"

Mickfanaka is a wonderful person and host! The accommodation is very comfortable and has everything you need. Mickfanaka is a wonderful cook and will cook you a feast for dinner and breakfast! I had lovely chats with him about all things local and life in general. You will feel at home here and very well taken care of ❤️

"Lovely homestay"

The host family was wonderful. They also helped me out with any question I had. The location of the place was really good - outside of all the hustle and buste but thanks to a shortcut in comfortable walking distance to the center. My "room" was the whole 2nd floor of the house which was super cosy and came with a wonderful view. Also, the meals that I had there were tasty and included a lot of fresh fruit. Thank you guys so much for this lovely stay in Lushoto!

At the time there was a water supply issue which was then resolved.
