"Superb"

Amit is a super helpful host. The food was delicious, the room was comfortable the wifi was strong. Being walking distance to Darjeeling, the location is great, even with a little traffic noise.

It is a little difficult to find.

The rooms are cosy and very Nice decorated. There is hot Water, comfy beds and the linens smelled very Nice. Probably it was one of the nicest accomodations we stayed in India. Price- preformance was 10/10. The host is very responsive and always available. The breakfast was big and delicious.

If you are looking for something more close to the City centre of Darjeeling that is not the Best option. By foot you need 25min but that wasn't really a problem for us...

"Great homestay"

The place is right on the road and the host Mr. Amit takes personal care of everything small or big request you'll have. The rooms are beautiful.

I just wish the bathrooms were little bigger

"The Guiding Monk Homestay - Good experience of homestay in Darjeeling ❄️"

The Guiding Monk Homestay has great hospitality services.😊 Amit who is managing the homestay is gentle humble and friendly person 🧒🏻. On the day we reached the location, Amit guided us to the homestay from the main road and helped us with our language 🧳. The location was on the top, so you have to be prepare to trek. 😅 Jokes apart, They have a good home cooked food menu in their menu. The food was delicious 😋with a tummy full 😌 quantity. Amit was always there for helping us in need🦸. They provide kettle to boil water. There is a option to rent room-heater. On our final day, it was my birthday. Amit wished me and suprised me with a gift.🧑‍🎄 Thank you so much for your hospitality and friendly services.

The location was on the top, sometimes it gets a little challenging to climb the stiff at the end of your day after whole day of journey. Remaining everything is fine.

"The owner/manager is a scammer."

Nothing.

we booked a family room with 2 beds, but when we reached there, the owner/manager tried to con us and tried to give us a double room with only one bed. When asked about this, he bluntly lied to us saying this is a family room only with an occupancy of 4 people. Please do not book this scam of a hotel ever.
