Witantra house

Great location in the center of Ubud. The room was clean. The host was friendly and helpful.

No AC in the room and only one window, so it was very hot and stuffy. I had to sleep with the door open to get more fresh air in the room. There was also no closet for things in the room, so everything had to be laid out on the floor.

A newly renovated room that is exactly the same as pictured. Cute, very clean, and brightly lit. A tad small, but a great bargain at this price. Like others have said, it is within walking distance to all the attractions on the main street, but the property overlooks a quiet street and doesn't feel as busy. The host (Mita) is extremely friendly and pleasant. This homestay can't be beat if you're happy to stay in a modest place and you aren't bothered by a bit of noise.

None of these is the host's fault but guests should probably be aware that it can get noisy in this kind of homestay: -The roosters do crow (as another guest has mentioned in her review) even before daybreak. It might be a bit of an issue for light sleepers (I woke up a couple times every morning). -The guest rooms are right next to each other; you can literally hear someone moving a chair. -People talking in the yard downstairs early in the morning. -Loud neighbours. One night there was a wedding in the next building, and the karaoke went off until midnight. The same thing happened the next evening, even though the wedding should be over. So, I wonder if the neighbours just do this sometimes? -Also, wifi drops off every other minute, but this seems to be the norm in homestays in Ubud.

Loud roosters in the morning

Everything was perfect , location is the best. Close to everything Owner was so friendly. She provided water bottles, coffee and tea in balcony. I enjoyed my stay there. Room is quite comfortable.
