INIdeally, most of the hotel owners are cheating people in Hampi. I booked this hotel almost two months ago with lesser price and last moment owners are telling that hotel is closed, search for another hotel. Owners are renting same room with higher price to others, and it is causing lot of problems for the people who booked earlier.

The room was very small and noisy located between two roads. Open screened air vents which makes you hear EVERYTHING. Very bad sleep and kept waking up from the noise. The smoking area was next to our room and the window was not well secure with smoke pouring in at night. I woke up coughing from the smoke late at night which was frustrating. I asked to move rooms after one night of this and he moved us to a bigger and better room on day 3. The sink was shared by two rooms and outside of the room which was an inconvenience. Charged us 4600 rupees including taxes for three nights. Much better and quieter hotels behind this hotel in the back streets for 1200 a night if you book in person. The owners brother picked us up from the train station and first thing he said is I've been here since 6pm. They misunderstood my clear message on booking.com. He implied that he wanted more money for his own mistake. We paid him 300 rupees for a ride from the train station to hotel which was fair. My WhatsApp was not working and the owner tried to contact me which was one of the first things he said to me. The brother was very pushy for us to do a tour with him. The hotel required us to go to the police station the next day to register (which is very weird and uncommon). He basically forced us to take a rickshaw by scheduling it without asking us. I didn't realize he wanted us to pay for this ride. We got to the police station who told us they are too busy getting ready for a festival to register us. He wanted us to pay for the rickshaw ride for a useless cause. We refused. Horrible communication. Would never stay here again.
