It was an OK place

The room was small but it was acceptable

Liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße ca 3 Minuten zu Fuß zur Bushaltestelle. Da das Dorf recht klein ist kommt man überall in 2-10 Minuten zu Fuß hin. Der Gastgeber sprach ein wenig Englisch und war äußerst nett. Er holte mich im Regen von der Bushaltestelle in Shizhao ab, da kein Bus mehr nach Fenchihu fuhr und ich keine Taxis erreichen konnte. Das Zimmer ist so wie auf den Fotos abgebildet.

Eine ziemlich einfache Unterkunft, aber für eine zwei Nächte komplett ausreichend

WiFi unstable. Hot water unreliable.

Excellent location. The bus stop is literally across the street. Very close to the old street. No English is spoken, but the lady in charge is adorable, and know how to sort out foreigners. I really liked the no fuss booking, just book, turn up and pay, no texting back and forth required. Everything was much better than expected. Nice clean, cozy, comfortable and spacious room with a desk and excellent lighting. Nice clean attached bathroom. Hot water takes a long time to come, but it IS coming. Everything was supplied, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, towels. They had a hot and cold water dispenser. Right outside the room was a big outdoor terrace with tables, chairs. and a fantastic view. And YIPPI, the room had this fantastic new type dehumidifier which has a fan heather built into it. The room does not get damp. One day both me and all the content in my daypack got completely 100% drenched after hiking during a seriously long downpour on a long hiking trail with no shelters, and everything dried up overnight, while I was warm in the room. WiFi is good most of the time.

It was nothing I didn't like, but it felt a bit overpriced. Maybe it was the Weekend...or I suppose it's a bit too close to Alishan.
