Visit Leif at Senja

We absolutely loved this place and its host Leif, who was there to make us feel very welcome. Beautiful, clean, family-friendly and spacious cabin in front of a fjord with great scenery. We are hoping to come back one day!

I didn't like leaving this place! Wish we could have stayed a little longer. :D

Lief was a great host and he makes beautiful bread. The location is idyllic, very quiet. Lovely comfortable bed and all the equipment you need in the cabin. Cosy and warm. Clean property and great view on the water. Excellent all round.

Everything was excellent.

Nice little house with everything you need in a quiet area with view on the water and on the passing ships. Very nice host. Gibostad is a nice village with a coffeehouse and a decent shop. Only the restaurant was temporarily closed. Good place to explore the island. Highly recommended.

Captains Cabin is pretty, comfortable, and really very well equipped, with a nice view.

Very nice host, super equipped accommodation with sauna for use and very well located to reach various destinations on Senja. Thank you very much Leif for everything, we had a very nice time in the captain's cabin.

If you come to Senja, you must stay here! The room is very cozy, comfortable and clean, well-equipped and very warm. There is a parking space, which is very convenient. The owner responded promptly and the instructions were very clear. In the yard is a very good location to watch and photograph the aurora. We were very lucky to catch the aurora explosion, which was very shocking. It is very cold at night in winter, and you can go back to the house to warm up immediately after watching the aurora. The view is very good, and the scenery on the other side of the window is also very good. It takes ten minutes to walk to the seaside. It is a quiet and comfortable town. It takes about half an hour to drive to Hasten/Segla and hike, and about 50 minutes to the viewing point along the way to Senja Island, but the scenery on the road is very good and the location is very convenient.

Staying in Leif’s cabin was amazing! It was so cozy, so clean and well prepared that we didn’t want to leave. It was so peaceful and nice inside, Leif even left us fresh bread to eat. All accommodations that you can possibly need are provided. The whole village is great, we had the luck of seeing an otter in the ocean when we took a walk and of course- we saw the northern light right from the window of the cabin! It was absolutely surreal. Just a special place.
