Kelum Homestay

Je suis resté trois nuits chez Kelum, Kelum a été disponible pour chacune de mes demandes. Il connaît parfaitement Kandy et a les bons contacts pour les activités que cette ville offre. La vue depuis la chambre est agréable et très relaxante. Je recommande 100% cet endroit, à noter, il faut avoir de bons mollets pour grimper jusqu’a chez lui !

The best place to stay in Kandy! The owner was the nicest, sweetest soul in Sri Lanka, who shared incredible history of Kandy and Sri Lanka itself. He helped me fix my broken phone within 10 minuets of arriving at his home stay, and. Helped my friend acquire medicine for an infected mozzy bite. Nothing was to much for him and he was a great person to talk to. He told us what we could do in Kandy, walking us into town and booked a dance show for us with front seats! I could not recommend this place enough, you have a waterfall infront fo the balcony that sounds beautiful and we saw the biggest bats fly past at night. The tea on arrival and at night time was a touch. He organise a tuktuk to take us to the train station early morning. I’ll forever remember my stay at Kelum

Sehr schöne, ruhige Lage, aber trotzdem nah zur Innenstadt. Das Frühstück, das wir erst im Nachhinein bestellt haben, war auch sehr gut. Der Ausblick vom Balkon war wunderschön, wir haben uns sehr gut entspannen können.

De eigenaar was ontzettend behulpzaam en heeft ons goed geholpen met het uitstippelen van alle bezienswaardigheden in de stad. Hierbij had hij voor ons een tuktuk geregeld voor 8500 roepies die ons naar de abudawala toren en allerlei andere bezienswaardigheden heeft gebracht. Wat zeker een aanrader is om in redelijk rap tempo alles af te werken. Verder zijn de kamers comfortabel met een mooi uitzicht over de stad en qua ligging is het relatief makkelijk om lopend de stad te bereiken.

De douche was wat aan de koude kant, maar verder goed

Dom położony blisko centrum, a jednak wsród natury, widok z okna jakby w dzungli, a jednak przy mieście. Wszedzie blisko. Bardzo miły właściciel, zrobi śniadanie albo pranie dla swoich gości. Bardzo polecam. Super pobyt!

Good size room, very clean, nice bathroom with hot water, lovely balcony with fantastic views. Welcoming and attentive host, would recommend as long as no mobility issues.

We walked to the property from the bus station it's all uphill and not an easy walk with luggage although it's only 15/20 minutes, you could get a tuk tuk but there is a point where a tuk tuk can't go any further and you would have to do the last bit on foot, people with mobility issues really need to be aware that the last bit is extremely steep both with slopes and tricky stairs, I think it would be impossible with mobility problems.

Mr. Kelum was very nice and helpfull when we stayed in his homestay- and he arranged everything for us. We felt welcome and had good breakfast and enjoyed the view and listened to the waterfall nearby. We are a couple on age 71, and we manged the steps to the place! When we could do it everybody can do the steps to that nice homestay!
