Owner so friendly. The cooking perfect

Incredible place with a super laid back vibe. The hosts are so chill and friendly. We had a lovely dinner together the evening we arrived. Breakfast was the best we had in 3 weeks in Indonesia, it was so delicious and we are still dreaming about it. I wish we had stayed longer honestly. The room was great with mosquito net and fan.

It would be nice to have a floor mat between the bathroom and the room to wipe the small stones from our feet. Everything else was perfect.

Peaceful stay in Moni with a great local vibe. The host was very welcoming, and it’s a perfect base for visiting Kelimutu at sunrise. Simple, clean, and good value.

Het personeel is ontzettend lief en behulpzaam. We waren met onze dochter van 5 jaar en ze had de tijd van haar leven. Ze maakten allemaal een praatje met haar. Als kers op de taart hadden ze ook puppy’s, waar ze lekker mee kon spelen. Wat ontzettend leuk is, is dat de vrouw van de eigenaar regelmatig heerlijk kookt voor het hele guesthouse. Dit zorgde ervoor dat je ook makkelijk andere gasten leerde kennen en zorgde ervoor dat je je echt thuis voelde en mooie contacten had. Mijn dochter mocht ook meekoken, wat ze ontzettend leuk vond. Deze plek was het hoogtepunt van onze reis in Flores! Niet vanwege specifiek de kamers, maar vanwege het personeel en de sfeer in de guesthouse.

Het enige minpuntje is dat de bedden niet zo lekker waren (heel zacht).

Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb von Moni. Man kann sich vor Ort jedoch günstig einen Scooter leihen und man ist innerhalb 5 Minuten im Dorf, aber man kann sich auch fahren lassen. Dafür liegt aber die Unterkunft direkt an einem Fluss mit einem schönen Außenbereich. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend und lecker. Großer Dank an das gesamte Team, das Management und alle Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit und sehr gastfreundlich. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank für den netten Aufenthalt, kann ich ohne Einschränkungen weiterempfehlen, wenn man sich drauf einlässt dass im Dorf Moni kein Luxus vorhanden ist.

I booked this place just because of the funny reviews and it did not disappoint. John picked us up from the airport and showed us around for 2 days. It was a laugh riot throughout. He's such a kind person, even paid for us when we ran out of cash (of course, we paid back later when he took us to atm) - if he is available to show you around, it's a no brainer. The place is very chill, people are welcoming, chatty and generous. The rooms are accurately depicted. The only hesitation I had before booking this was that it was slightly away from the main part of Moni (actually, this makes no difference, it's only 5 mins by car. Plus this is surrounded by waterfalls, so the sleep was peaceful). Loved the artwork here and open bathroom vibe.

John removed his WhatsApp status.. I will never find out.

Rago’s is comfortable, clean and has everything you need for a simple but quaint stay. Nicely placed out of town beside a river and a lovely garden.

It’s a little out of town which is great but just be mindful of needing to ask John to drive you to town/rent a scooter from him. He’s super accommodating!
