Casa de Mármol

The host, Irma was exceptional. She really nice, helpful, and spoke English. The room was large, comfortable and the bathroom down the hall was very good. The breakfast was the best I’ve had across many of travel.

It was all good.

The staff was amazing, every time when we came back after diner or hiking it was like coming home. The breakfast was also super, the best fruit cocktail, the best tea en the best coffee of Ecuador. I recomment it for everyone who goes to riobamba

Clean room and great breakfast.

Not too quiet in the room when travelers talk on the porch. Host seems nice but…I had some problems with ‘communication’ let’s say…

Atmosphere. Spacious shower although common but just great. Friendliness of Irma the host Excellent breakfast and nice terrace with the view on Chimborazo

A bit expensive for room with common toilet and shower but Riobamba in general was more expensive accommodation-wise. A few blocks from town centre but still within walking distance

Irma, the owner, was the nicest person. We arrived at night really hungry on a day that almost no restaurants were open and she organised us a delivery for dinner and it arrived in less than 15minutes. She was also telling us very interesting stories about the Chimborazo and Riobamba. The beds were comfortable and the twin bedroom was spacious. The shower was amazing. The breakfast was prepared by her and it was one of the best breakfasts I ever had at a hostel. Really delicious and complete!

We loved our stay at Casa Marmol! We initially booked 2 days but stayed 4. The family was lovely and took great care of us. Irma always had a smile and offered many suggestions for activities in Riobamba. I celebrated my birthday there and she made it extra special by baking me a cake! . You can really feel at home at Casa Marmol!

Nothing it was great!

Property was in a great location really close to the centre but with enough distance for a peaceful nights sleep. Beds were super comfortable and allowed for a wonderful nights sleep. Irma and staff were some of the most friendliest people I have come across since travelling. She really makes you feel like family, was always super helpful and willing to help you with whatever she can. Irma has wonderful knowledge of the area and also knows tour guides for the things she can’t help with.

I especially enjoyed the breakfasts Irma prepared for me and how helpful she was with everything. As a solo traveler, she took me under her wing and provided for all my needs, I was able to use her kitchen for Preparing my dinners and gave me suggestions on things to do.

I was annoyed when the dogs barked in the area, but nothing to do about that.

This felt like a mix between a luxury hotel and a homestay. The hostess, Irma, was very nice and great at helping us organize a visit to Volcán Chimborazo that fit our budget. The breakfast was also some of the best we’ve had. The room was spacious and the common area was very nice as well. Also, her granddaughter was adorable, but a little precocious.
