Lovely lodge & Hostel

Everything was up to standard - wifi, bedroom, location.

Lacking a bit of character, breakfast plentiful but perhaps sub par.

it’s 2km from the entrance of Lion Rock so we walked to the entrance The host family are very kind and welcomed us nicely I enjoyed the 2 coconuts they sold to me, very reasonable price Recommend to anyone who visit Lion Rock and need a place to stay

It was very conveniently located not far from the rock and restaurants. Very helpful owners who provided a lovely breakfast - I saw a note about them not bringing at the specific time - this didn’t happen to us they provided breakfast on the balcony outside their home at 9am both days so others must not have been clear with communication. Very helpful with where to find local things. The WiFi was a bit hit and miss but again it was always turned on - I think Sri Lanka has poor WiFi

The family was so friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast was even delivered to the room. The location was great for getting around.

The smell in the room was just too much, so we decided to leave after one night. The internet did not work.

We had a pleasure to stay at Lovely Lodge for one night during our stay in Sigirija. It's amazing family hotel with beautiful garden. Everyone was extremely polite and we recomend this house for your stay in the city from bottom of our hearts.

The breakfast was fine. I would have liked the opportunity of choosing a Sri Lankan breakfast more often, rather than just traditional Western breakfast. The family was warm and welcoming. I liked the option of using the room's overhead fan rather than air-conditioning, which I find too aggressive and unhealthy.

I would have liked a better towel. The ones we had were a bit small in size and on the thin side. Because of that, it would have been useful to have an extra hand towel for our use, just to dry one's hands after using the wash room. I would also have appreciated the family checking with us what time we wanted to have breakfast each day. We requested 8.30 on our first morning, but then it came at 8.30 or earlier every morning, resulting in us eating cold omelettes and soggy toast. Those happen to be some of my pet hates... I also prefer my coffee or tea with proper milk rather than non dairy creamer.
