Victorian Gate House Own Bathroom

The bathroom was a good size and the bath was extra large and deep. Very clean and tidy. The bedroom was small but comfortable. The host was cheerful and chatty and easy going. There was no pressure and easy going. Hardly any noise heard inside the house, nice house.

The problem was very small parking space. It was very close to the busy road and motorway noise was very loud so had to keep the bedroom window closed all the time. Sadly, the breakfast was not up to scratch, felt impolite to ask for more milk, and the toast was very nearly uneatable due probably to the type of bread used, it was very hard on the mouth.

We stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting the NEC. The place is conveniently located being the next junction away, and tucked away in a very nice and quiet area. The room was great, very comfy bed, had a huge wardrobe, and tea and coffee facilities in the room and a small TV. The bathroom is absolutely massive, with a shower and a bath. Everything was lovely and clean. Daniel would send us a message and ask what we wanted to breakfast and laid out a nice continental breakfast, with freshly warmed croissants, fruit, cereal, yoghurts etc. We had a lovely stay and the hosts were also really welcoming when we arrived. Would definitely recommend!

Truly exceptional experience - my host Daniel contacted me and sent me arrival instructions and several pictures that helped locating this property. I enjoyed relaxed atmosphere of my cosy room, lovely continental breakfast (consisting of orange juice, coffee, toast, good quality marmalade and preserve, Jordan's granola, Dorset musli and weetabix to choose from, fruit and yoghurt). The enormous bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, shower cubicle and sink was spotless, situated right next to the room. Good quality towels and toiletries were provided (I used my own). The room had coffee/tea facilities, enough hangers and storage for my 2.5 day trip, the mattress was comfortable and I slept exceptionally well. Daniel provided me with some helpful information of the area and I am sure this was not my last stay in his property.
