Property as a whole is good Rooms , furniture, bathroom all were standard quality... balcony and rooftop were fantastic...

Lovely place, beautiful location, and the family who run it could not have been kinder or more helpful...they organised a great jeep safari and a brilliant driver to take us onto Aleppey. We also loved the hammock on the rooftop! Highly recommend.

Very helpful host

A perfect location 15 minutes walk from the entrance to the Periyar Tiger Reserve, a view of the mountains and remarkable calm. Very nice and clean rooms (ask for the superior category) at a very reasonable price. And above all a wonderful and extremely generous welcome from Shukkoor and his wife Nesiya who do everything to facilitate your organization, even accompanying you by car to the sites of the visits and guiding you, making you discover the local cuisine, etc. One of the most beautiful human moments of my stay in Kerala, which gives you memories of unforgettable human encounters.

Great host. Clean rooms and very good location.

This homestay is well located; you can get to the city by walk. Also, the periyar national park is nearby. The rooms are clean and spacious. You have a great nature view on the terrace. Shukkooa is a very attentive host. He is very helpful and has a good feeling for what you want. Shukkooa recommended us to take the public transportation boat from Kottayam to Aleppey which turns out great. Because we were able to see the backwaters without paying high tourist prices. There is a parking place direct next to the homestay and Panthalam offers washing facilities for the drivers. In the night time you can here the sound from the nature; bear this in mind if you are a light sleeper. Highly recommended.
