Namaste Homestay

They accept foreigners. It is located in a peaceful and quiet location on the hill side. The room had a little kitchenette, and as we were there for a few days, we were able to cook our own meals. The room had big windows and a nice balcony with chairs to sit and enjoy nature. It had good wifi. The room had some carpets on the floor, making it warmer for our feet in winter and an ultra thick blanket. On the main roads there are many trendy and fancy cafes and restaurants with cute souvenirs and modern shops. You can get food essential at a nearby corner store.

It had a hot water tap to wash with a bucket, but no hot showers. Be aware that there is only a small sign by the road to indicate the homestay. Once you see the sign, you need to follow a paved path that eventually leads to the homestay. There are not so many signs, so it is a bit confusing. It is also quite steep to come back up with all the luggage. That being said, we loved our stay as it was so relaxing!

Lovely and clean property with nice hosts. Loved the kumaoni food served for dinner. Loved the 360 degree views from the property. Host is very helpful and will also arrange porter to get you food from nearby restaurants.

The is a long and steep descent from the main road to the property. You need help with luggage which property can arrange for a small tip to the porter. But you will only be able to climb back once in a day since ascent is very tiring.

Friendly host , No words to thank him enough . He is a good human . Food was too good .. Fully satisfied

The hospitality, the location, the food, the cleanliness, the place everything was very nice. If you are visiting kasar devi, this is the best homestay you will ever find. They provide inbuilt kitchens with all the utensils in each and every room.

The only thing to dislike is when you leave on your last day.

This property is located about 10min down the road and vehicles can't reach there so we had to walk with all the luggage. It was kind of a 10 min trek towards the property. But once you reach there the view is amazing.

The hosts are absolutely lovely and very eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible. No bad things to say. It is very clean! The food that is offered is very delicious, plentiful and affordable. The homestay itself is located in a quiet area and surrounded by a beautiful garden. There is hot water available (although only bucket shower). A small kitchenette is provided. Overall if traveling with a backpack this accommodation has almost no drawbacks and offers affordable yet good lodging in a popular area. Can't recommend for traveling with own vehicle or a lot of luggage.

The location is 5min walking downhill from main road. walk ONLY! the way up can be strenuous especially with luggage, I got helped on the way down as I have a lot of heavy luggage that I usually leave on my bike if it's parked safely. After checkout I had to pay for a porter though. There is no secure parking. Only public parking up along the main road. The mattress in the room I stayed in was very uncomfortable unfortunately. Even after stacking two on top of each other my hip would still hit the hard bed boards and I would always roll into the "hole" created in the foam. The shower is a bucket shower only. Not a problem for me though. Bonus, that it's hot water.
