Sunrise Suite on the Sound

Second time staying here. Setting is just as picturesque and peaceful as in 2022. The unit manages to feel luxurious yet homey at once. Bed is super comfortable, sitting room and its ocean view are an absolute dream and we were toasty warm by the fire on these chilly nights. Jay and Leslie are kind, accommodating, very responsive, yet also gave us all the privacy we needed. My little dog loves this place too. Will definitely return.

Nothing about Jay or Leslie or the property... one warning though to fellow wanderers, make sure you understand which portion of the beach is actually public access!! Somehow I thought that this property shared the private beach area with neighbors, and there is one neighbor who was not cool about my honest mistake... however, Leslie handled the situation beautifully and managed to make me feel better about the odd run-in I experienced. Just avoid doing what I did and only use the actual public portion of beach. Yes it is small, but it is clean, quiet, and a lovely little piece of Puget sound shoreline.

Too far from the ferry to the San Juan Islands.

Great location, lovely view. Outdoor private hot tub, fire, gowns, towels etc all made it comfortable. Hosts gave us lots of useful advice. We had a swim nearby too.

A little more in the way of kitchen facilities would make a huge difference - we don't like eating from paper plates with plastic cutlery! An umbrella over the table would be great as it was too hot to use it some of the time.

The property was really nice and a great place to relax and enjoy the quiet setting.

The view, the living/sleeping space, the property, and the hosts were all exceptional.
