Jelajah Batukaras

Jelajah is perfectly located in town just off the main road. The room was spotless when we checked in and we had delicious pancakes for breakfast every morning (20K). We also easily rented bikes for 60K per day and enjoyed the private terrace for our room. We also booked a Green Canyon body rafting tour through the guesthouse - just ask and it will be organized for you.

WiFi is only strong outside the room on the terrace. Water pressure is non-existent in the shower and no hot water, but a bucket is provided to dump on yourself. Not a huge problem, but you need to be flexible if you’re doing any tours and like to plan ahead. We wanted to do the Green Canyon tour and were told to wait til the morning to see if the conditions were right, if other people wanted to join, etc. This wasn’t an issue for us, but if you’re short on time make sure you make that clear.

J'ai séjourné plus d'une semaine ici. J'avais réservé quatres nuits et j'ai entendu. Niveau rapport qualité-prix, ce logement est imbattable. La chambre est grande, avec deux lits doubles confortables! Il y a de l'eau potable à disposition dans la chambre. Il y a également un extérieur avec chaises et table. L'emplacement est incroyable à quelques pas de warung super bon et proche des spots de surf. Ils m'ont aidé à organiser mon arrivé depuis Yogyakarta et mon départ pour Bandung et se sont occupés de la location de scooter en un clin d'oeil. Ils sont super réactif. J'ai adoré resté dans cette établissement et quand je reviendrai à Batu Karas, j'y logerai à nouveau !

The location is excellent — just a short walk to the beach and plenty of nearby restaurants. Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He assisted us with surfboard rentals, motorbike hire, and even helped book our onward transport, personally driving us to the bus pickup point (for a small fee). The room was spacious, with two large beds that comfortably fit both me and my friend, and it included convenient amenities like a clean drinking water dispenser.

The hot water took a while to heat up in the shower, though this wasn’t a major issue for us. The bathroom didn’t have a window or extractor fan, so smells tended to linger after use.

It’s very central, close to warungs, you can walk there and near to the beach :) Adi and his family are very nice! I could rent a scooter for 60 per day and the room was fine! Very simple but all you need. Even a water dispenser was in the room!

Cold shower, but in the end wasn’t that bad because the weather is alwazy very humid so a cold shower is acutually good :)

Adi was such a great host with great communication and tips for the area. The location is right in town so you’re a 10 min walk to the surf break or 2 minute scooter, and even closer to most restaurants. We loved staying here for a week and wish we could have stayed longer!

The room was clean and very spacious, also the bathroom. There is place to cool and hang out. The family is very friendly !
