Aleenas homestay

Aleenas’ stay is absolutely recommended for exploring Kochi! The room is spacious and super clean and the hosts were amazing! The room is far away from traffic on a very quiet street. We were sad we had to leave only after one night!

We had a lovely time at the Aleenas homestay, the whole family was very welcoming and we really enjoyed the dinners! Winnie really is a great cook and I had the pleasure to see her cook and learn some of her Kerala recipes. We warmly recommend Aleenas homestay.

The property is no frill but very clean, safe and comfortable. The owners are extremely caring and would go out of their way to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I was offered hot drinks every day of my visit They organised transport from and to airport ensuring taxis are prompt. They offered an excellent laundry service. They would provide good advice on where to go and what tours are worth taking part. I followed there advice and took part of the Backwater tour, what an unbelievable experience that was. There is an option to have a local style breakfast or dinner prepared by the owner, food freshly cooked and delicious. Property at ideal location to visit the majority of Fort Kochi’s place of interest. The property provides excellent value for money.

This is by no means a deal breaker but only my personal opinion: I stayed at venue for a week and would be nice if there was a TV on days one wanted to stay in A small fridge would be of benefit too, it will prevent ants from getting onto food or keeping drinks cold( though the owner offered to keep my water in their personal fridge) I was in the room with no air con so was attacked by mosquitoes, might be an idea if guests using that room were provided with some sort of mosquitoes repellent. I prefer to sleep in very dark room and would have preferred curtains that black out lights. As I say above are just personal preferences and would not in anyway prevent me from returning to the venue in The future.

Nice homestay in a good location to explore Fort Kochi. Very friendly hosts who offered to provide food and tips for activities but also backed off when we declined (which we really appreciated). Separate entrance to the room and a nice terrace to relax.

We had a wonderful time at Aleena’s Homestay! The room was comfortable with wifi, AC, ceiling fan, and a beautiful bathroom. Excellent walkable location to the center of Fort Kochi. Most of all, enjoyed the family’s kind hospitality and amazing cooking! Would definitely stay again!

Super clean, perfect location (you can reach everything by walk, both shopping or sightseeing places), the family who will host you is super kind, nice and helpful. Perfect if you travel alone, you will feel like home. I stayed one night only but I wish I could stay more!! The room is spacious and light, the AC works perfectly, the balcony is very nice and the bathroom is new with hot water.

It was very hot during day and night, and the AC was not included in the price. We needed to pay half the price of the room for using it for one day

Really enjoyed staying here. Super lovely and hospitable family. Really nice location walking distance to main Fort Kochi sights but not too close to the mega tourists. Quiet neighbourhood feel. Winnie’s a super cook too. RECOMMEND!!!
