The location was great, the room was exceptionally clean and hot water worked well. The hosts were helpful in organising things to do.

The wifi didn’t really work, we paid an exceptional amount for dirty laundry - it still smelt as though it had not been properly washed and maintained many stains. Although the hosts used an external person to do the laundry, they charged way more than we’ve ever had to pay in Sri Lanka and India which we were very unhappy about. Additionally, we were told our first mornings breakfast was “free of charge” when we stepped through the door yet we were still charged for it. We also felt as if we were somewhat pushed into having dinner, despite us saying we wanted to try many restaurants in the area, to which we were spoken over and told we should ‘just have dinner here’, food was nice tasting but didn’t like the way it was handled. Finally i should add that in comparison to many home stays we have been to in India, we felt as though they were trying to get as much money from us as possible, including a compulsory paid breakfast. We were told the time that breakfast will be ready for on our second morning, without ever being asked if we actually wanted it. Arguably a lot of responsibility lays on us to speak up when necessary but it was our first experience like this.

This place was a nice as expected; comfortable and well located. What made it amazing was the attitude and helpfulness of the owners who live there. They were so friendly and kind, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Well located for access to all parts of Fort Cochin.

The location is perfect. The rooms were clean with good ambience. The hosts were friendly and kind. Felt really good staying there.
