Aashray Homestay

Wonderful location, away from the noise of the city, but close enough to access sites. Home is hidden away 1/2 a block from the main street with a small parklike square in front of the property. The owner/hosts are great people. Take care of your every need. Breakfast was great with many choices, and authentic Indian options as well. Felt very safe and comfortable. The property as an old world charm, sort of like grandma's house. I would definitely stay there again.

Mr & Mrs Kapur are some of the kindest hosts I've met, they are very welcoming, helpful and lovely to talk to. Breakfast everyday was amazing! Mrs. Kapur lovingly prepared the most delicious and nutritious food. They also provided snacks and fruits in the room which was very thoughtful. I really appreciated that the room was cleaned on a daily basis. It was such a pleasure to stay at Aashray.

We greatly appreciated the hospitality and kindness of Mr. & Mrs. Kapur. They took much care to cook a delicious and filling breakfast each morning and spoke with us about the history and culture of Banaras. Staying with the family really made the trip feel special. The stay is outside of the ghats, but we purposely chose to stay in a quieter area. Uber worked great getting around and they arranged an airport transfer for us at a fair rate.

À lovely and very confortable room, in a quiet place. Mr And Mrs Kapur are exceptional hosts, they gave us precious advice to discover Varanasi. the breakfasts prepared by Mrs. Kapur are delicious and served in a warm family atmosphere. I was ill they took care of me as if I was their family.. an unforgetable staying by unforgatable persons !!!

Hosts. They were considerate and accommodating. Our room was quite private, with its own access. Breakfast was delicious. Room was spacious and we also got a balcony which was nice for this winter visit. The place was very safe.

Location was far from the main sites and required taking a 20 min auto+15 min walk. I would prefer to stay on the ghats if you have a short trip. The shower pressure was very weak. Bed was a little on the harder side.

This is not a criticism - simply we weren’t aware, but for us in future, we would stay a little closer to the ghats.

Really friendly couple run this beautiful guest house that is just off the main street for heading into the centre of Varanasi and to the ghats. Arranged airport pick up and drop off for us and even packaged up a delicious breakfast for us on our final day as we had an early flight. Room was spacious and had everything you could need for a couple nights!

Bed was a bit stiff unfortunately

It is a little far from the river. The plumbing needs to be upgraded.
