Process of ID checking- needs to be very clear and obvious; communication via Booking.com meant that my ID did not reach the owners/managers of the house

"It's student resident not suitable for business trip"

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the owner is a nice enough chap

Was not aware until arrival that there's permanent students living there. Too noisy and loud until after midnight

"Provided everything I needed"

No meals provided, but there is a kitchen for guests to prepare their own. House appears newly decorated and my room was bright and fresh with good bedding and plenty of storage space for longer stays. No staff present, but owner uses messaging to deal promptly with anything that needs doing - book in to check out.
