BBS Homestay

The room was nice and comfortable and in a great location close to the beach and some restaurants. We were able to rent a moped directly from the property which was very handy.

The shower was cold.

The couple that run the place are friendly. Even went to another town to get us a special juice to strengthen our immune systems when we were sick, which was very appreciated. The bed is comfortable. The A/C works fine. It's OK for the price. Good location as walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Nice balinese massage at the spa

The room is very simple. The bathroom needs an upgrade, but I guess you get what you pay for. . No hot water in the shower, and low pressure so washing long hair took a while. Also, the shower head was permanently attached to the wall too low, so my husband who is 186cm had to squat to get his head under the water. Toilet paper goes in a bin next to the toilet, which does not have a bag or a lid in it, and was only emptied every other day. Not very hygienic... There is no ventilation or fan, only a/c. So the towels do not dry fast in the room, and start to smell after a short time. They did not change our bed sheets until we asked them to, after we had been staying there for 9 days (from a total 13 days..) We also had to ask for more toilet paper several times. They did not give us a spare if there was half a roll left... The WiFi was very choppy. It fell out several times a day and they had to restart the router every time. The door has cracks in it even when locked, so you hear everything that is going on outside. If you like to sleep past 6am this place is not for you! It is a homestay, and the family has a baby. They are awake around 6am, talking loud and playing with the baby from then on... We got used to going to bed around 10pm (no nightlife on the island anyway!) In addition, the neighbours have a dog that often would be barking in the night. We asked them to do something about that, but it kept happening. Earplugs are a must! On top of that, the owner was offended when we one time decided to go to the spa across the street instead of Bunga Spa. They had different types of treatments and at lower prices, and there were no discounts at Bunga Spa even if we were guests there so we believe there was no need to take offence... All in all, stay here if you want a comfortable bed at a low price, but do not expect much more...

Comfy room, good location, helpful staff

The bed was very comfortable and the people really nice. They found me a scooter immediately when I arrived.

There were no hot water in the bedrooms despite the temperature regulator we can see in pictures and not a lot of water was available to take a shower especially to wash hairs.

The staff were rude and didn't give me the attention I needed. The first day I arrived I asked what the activities i could explore in the island and the owner told me it was only go to the beach. I could have done several things. however i didn't know. the owner doesn't help you at all. For him, everything is money. Worst accommodation I've ever had in my life. the bathroom smells musty and is very old.

We stayed at BBS for two weeks and loved it! Putu was very nice, always making sure we had what we need. The place was clean and very close to the beach and restaurants. It was good value for money and we were very sad to leave. Will definitely be back!
