Old style property with a large terrace

Unclean room, old towels sheets, bathroom was not clean shower was clogged and not clean, mattresses were very uncomfortable. Overpriced for level of hospitality. Common areas were filled with old furniture which was not clean and looked more like a frat house than an actual guesthouse or Homestay. I did not feel comfortable sitting on any of the furniture. The common areas were not cleaned adequately. The dusty room gave me a cold and cough and made my throat sore. Manager tried to overcharge at the need of the stay and would not listen to a rational explanation on the bill. Did not provide invoice, only accepted cash, tried to charge a cleaning fee but no cleaning was provided even though requested. Sheets were not changed, towels were not changed. when I told the manager the bill on my end was x he blamed booking.com and said I had to pay the cleaning fee because that’s how the website calculates the money but he did not want to admit that if booking.com assumes he is offering cleaning he must provide the service to get the money. I paid in cash and he then reported to the website I was a no show which means he can pocket the money without paying the commission to the website. I refused to be overcharged and to be cheated so I paid what my email told me the total was from the website. If you do stay there check the charges and the bill. The manager will try to railroad you by shoving his phone and the calculations in your face but stand firm and pay what is fair and honest. Would not recommend this place as the manager William is dishonest. There was other suspect behaviour which i will not mention here. But I would not recommend this place for women travelling alone or travelling for ashram work.

Staffs are so polite and humble.

Kindly change bathroom door lock it's very hard to use. Apart from that everything is fine

The location is a bit far from city centre

Manager is a great person. Room size is very good.

Location is bad. Entire area stinks with drainage etc. It’s far from French colony. A walk outside Vilas is really horrible, all roads stinks for a kilometre. There are much better places at lower cost available near tourists area. Property room need uplifting, bathrooms are not good.
