Taman Ayu Ubud

What a gorgeous little find this place was!!! Everything was perfect here. Location is amazing, just a couple of minutes walk off the main road, near anything you could need, and the actual rooms are set back in the most traditional Balinese compound. The grounds are beautiful and you can tell that this place is very well looked after. Room was spotless and big, great aircon and shower, with a nice little outside area where your breakfast is served each morning. The staff are amazing and so friendly and helpful, we loved being here and were so glad we picked this place out of all the rooms on offer. Ubud is definitely busy, but this is a tranquil little oasis for sure. This is probably one of the top 10 places in terms of value for money I have stayed in maybe 40 years of travelling. Stay here with confidence you are in a top spot, in great hands. Wish we could have stayed longer than 4 nights :)

strategic location. we like how the stay is near to convenience but yet peaceful as u rest for the day. we started our day early for hike..& its nice to have owner to prepare packer toast & fruits for us!

as we start our day very early & end our day late... the area is not well lighted..but still on walkable condition. it be nice to have a kettle to prepare hot drink after a tired day out & chill out at ur balcony

The location was so perfect for exploring Ubud, being central I was worried about noise but you couldn’t hear anything from the road or streets. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were lovely and attentive. Breakfast was yummy!

We did sometimes hear cultural music I think from dance performances quite loud in the evenings but it wasn’t late. Our hot water also didn’t work.

Lovely homestay in an amazing central location, the ladies who run it are super nice and fun! Clean comfortable room and nice and quiet. Lovely views and nice simple breakfast.

This is a 4 bedroom separate building in the back of (what I believe) is a Balinese family compound. Absolutely tremendous value for money. Novi and her mother make superb hosts. Centrally located (5 min walk to Ubud Palace, Ubud Art Market). The included breakfast is basic but homely.

The roosters might wake you up in the morning, but you get used to it. Also the bath towels were a bit unclean, but nothing that couldn't be easily fixed by asking.

Autenthic, close to the nature, great location, close to the center and to local restaurants. The host and the staff are very helpful and nice. Delicious breakfast every day.

Very good value for such clean & comfortable rooms, services (laundry, transport, Kecak performance tickets), and good simple but sufficient breakfasts! Owners Ketuk (lady) & Raka were so friendly and helpful.

Small issue - no shampoo or body wash provided except for just a small piece of soap.
