Vila das Estrelas - Guesthouse

The property is in a lovely location. The rooms are basic and comfortable. The owners are wonderful. The kind of experience where it feels like you are staying with good friends.

EVERYTHING! Gisela's and Chris' hospitality is unbeatable. They took care of us from the very start till the end of our trip, taking from and to the bus station, giving advice on what to do and always politely checking how we're doing. The breakfast served each morning was huge, fresh and very tasty. The room was big and cozy with wonderful view. We truly felt like being part of their family ♥️ Frankly, we never had better hosts in our life and we travel a lot. Another bonus is their wonderful friendly dogs who greeted us every time we came back from the city or tours.

We wouldn't recommend taking their suggested English speaking guide Duda. He took from us more money than what was agreed, spoke very little about the places we went to and in general was super uninterested in us endlessly scrolling his phone or talking Portuguese the last day when he brought his friend with him. During the hikes he was aways in a hurry and paid little attention to our safety. Frankly, we had so much better experience the last day going to the tour with other villa's guests and their Portuguese speaking guide as she was much more responsive to travelers needs even without speaking English.

Everything, such a nice place and hosts

The owners are so kind and the breakfast is a huge feast!! They speak perfect English and Spanish and the room is huge! They also have secure gated parking. We were very happy we decided to stay here out of all the places in Lençóis.

Gisela and Cris are so kind and saw to everything I needed during my trip! They accommodated my check in and even picked me up from the bus station. The room was super cute, and Gisela even made me breakfast specific to my food allergies.

The owners are incredible! Chris and Gisela went above and beyond to help whatever we needed and even provided pickup and drop off to/from the terminal. Room was clean and breakfast was great too. Highly recommend to anyone that don’t mind the walk up from centro!

A bit of a hike from centro (~8 min walk uphill). WiFi is a bit spotty and didn’t work very well in our room, but it worked just well enough for me to work.

Our hosts Gisela and Cristiano are some of the kindest people we’ve met. They made our stay really special. From picking up and dropping us off at the bus station to delicious homemade breakfasts and organising our excursions - they were always on hand and really helpful.

Gi and Cris and their family took me in and made sure I had the most awesome trip, from the delicious breakfast to helping me with car issues and getting the perfect guides for my trekking goals to being amazing people to sit back and talk and have some good times. I just cannot think this trip would be anywhere as good had I stayed somewhere else. I felt at home and taken care of by them and their children. Loved the guesthouse format, especially as a solo traveler. They are genuinely caring and will make anyone feel safe and at home. My family at Lençóis 🖤

Coming back home and realizing there will be no Gi's breakfast in the morning and Cris' fireside drinks in the evening 😭 life's better in Lençóis ☕🍳🥙🍻
