Casa Azul

We had a very brief stay in Valladolid but we loved it. Casa Azul was a great place to stay, the owner was so helpful and gave us a really outstanding recommendation for a local restaurant just down the road: we had some of the best panuchos we had in our entire trip there. They provided purified water, which was much appreciated and reduced plastic use! Spacious, clean, comfy bed, air con, hot shower. Perfect for what we needed and amazing value.

Casa Azul isn't modern or smart, but we weren't looking for that kind of place. Instead it's homely and comfy

The room was without windows and the room was full of giant cockroachs. The welcome has been cold and the host happeared fed-up. Cockroachs started running across the room during night.

Simple, quite big room near the city center.

Some problems with comunication with staff regarding payment, but finally we resolved all the issues.

We liked everything. Location is super super convenient. Room was big and beds were comfortable. The owner was super nice and we had some nice conversations in the terrace. They provide free water. They don't have parking but it's easy to park right outside the accommodation.

Great location, right in town and a close walk to the bus station, restaurants etc. A superb base for exploring the area. Staff were friendly and the room was huge. Great air con and nice to have a private bathroom at this price.

This picture is very misleading. Must have been taken when first listed. From the outside it looks grey and quite derelict. No one to let us in even though we advised arrival time .

Would have liked more information about Valladolid and what to do in the area to make me feel welcome. Would be great for couples, a little quiet for a solo traveller.
