Edo Homestay & Restaurant

The staff that work at Edo Homestay are extremely friendly and hospitable. They want to help you. They also greeted me goodbye. Idi, Kenny, Susu (Surya), Edo, and his wife are great people. On my 1st day, I lost my surfboard. I swam to get it (don't do it, ask the boat captain) at Don Don. Had to get a boat ride back to Edo and pay..I didn't have enough money and they were kind to lend me. They also mediated between scams artists that work in Gerupuk to help me resolve some conflict -- the scam artist gave me an empty tank, while I had paid for a full gas tank.

The location is great for surfing. However, the people that work in Gerupuk, aside from Edo are not to be trusted. 1) They will steal your belongings and pretend they cannot find it 2) You will 3+M in IDR after losing a surfboard and ask you how much would you pay if somebody found it ? 3) You may be injured (foot) and they still look to take advantage of you. While Edo is great, it's surrounded by ill-natured people. Also it's next to a Mosque that operates 5 times a day and sometimes people that can't sing will blast through the airwaves like nobody's business.

Such a friendly owner, Mr Edo was so accommodating , helped me kindly with transport. Accomodation has super comfy bed, air conditioning and comes with a delicious breakfast and seaside view. Quiet area and good for surfing. Highly recommend for a value for money stay!

Friendly staff in a beautiful location right on the water. The food was delicious, some of the best I’ve had in Indonesia!

The breakfast was pretty average but its free. The floor was a bit dirty in the room.

The location and price were great! Edo was very accommodating with pick up and drop offs. The food at the restaurant was amazing Aswell!

I liked that you can do surf just going down of the room.

The rooms are really olds, the bathroom is like a thriller movie. The people on the street made a lot of noise, and you have the mosque as well, don't aspect to sleep to much.
