Marari Neena Beach homestay

I travelled the world for more than 30 years but never met such warm and gentle owners such as I found in Marari Neena Beach Homestay.They really make you feel like family and they do their best to offer anything you need.Augustin took me for free by motor bike to buy some fruits in a market that was 5 km away,he went 20 km away to get fresh prawns to cook for dinner.Do not miss the dinner on your own terrace,they cook the most tasty home food in the area (both fresh fish from the ocean in different styles and vegetarian dishes) and at the most convenient prices.The location is very quiet and peaceful,beach it just a few steps away barefoot with the white sand.They also offer you sunbeds and umbrella at very low price.Wi-fi is very good and there is hot water available in the shower.A big thanks again to this beautiful family,Jensee,Augustin and their adorable daughters Neena and Alfonsa.

Nothing to mention

The spot is fantastic with the beach 1min walking, very quiet and spacious. The hosts, Augustine and Neena, are very kind and attencious with all requests. They cook very nice meals, no need to search for restaurant nearby, delicious food!

What an amazing homestay this is. The best accommodation that we’ve stayed at during our trip to India. The room was large, clean and comfortable with air conditioning and good wifi. The terrace outside is spacious and is a great place to relax out of the sun. The best part of Neena’s homestay though is the food. Traditional Kerala breakfasts everyday, each one different, delicious and massive, followed by local fresh fruits and juice. The homestay also offers evening meals which are all homemade, tasty and amazing value for money. Our host Augustine and his family were so welcoming and friendly, they really made our stay there memorable.

They have the greatest breakfast so close to the beach and the owner is just awesome

The hosts were very helpful and cooperative. Breakfast served was sumptuous and tasty. On different days there was a different menu so the variety was very welcome. The hosts helped us to get a booking for a day trip on a house boat which was very enjoyable and value for our money. The hosts also arranged for a cab to take us to the Railway station to catch our train. Overall our stay was very pleasant and without any major hitches. Mr. Augustine and Mrs Jensy were very attentive to all our needs.

In our room the AC was problematic and needed repairs. We informed Mr. Augustine before our departure about the problem. The Marari beach was a big disappointment as it was quite dirty and there were no decent beachside shops for refreshments and curios. Also the sea at the beach was not very appealing. There were also some squatters on the beach adding to the unpleasant atmosphere on the beach.
