Safsia homestay

I stayed for 3 nights, the price and being near the harbour is excellent for a quick trip (make sure your boat isn't going to the north harbour like mine did 😆). The room was comfortable, other than not having hot water for the shower (the people that have written reviews about showers not being cold enough should be happy here). There is a shortcut to the main street that is open during the day. I didn't get to know anyone here because I was diving or out somewhere most of the time, but everyone seemed nice. There is a fill for water bottles and food around the corner.

I read the warnings about the mosque wake-up and thought it would be fine... 4am and 6am got to me after a while. On the bright side, it made sure I was awake to wake to the northern beach for the sunrise at 6am (the walk is only 15-20 minutes and the sunrise there is worth it) I guess not having warm or hot water is a normal thing to the area (I was not aware) and I saw reviews on it, but I enjoyed the outside shower after diving more because it was warmer with still only having cold supply. If you like ice baths and cold water you should be happy.

It's just next to the beach, easy to get there with the ferry, maybe 10 minutes by walk. Safsia is a really good host, ready to help all time. No hot water shower, but for me is it good only cold water because of the heat outside.

There is no Aircon, but there is a fan, it's hot during the night.

Bathroom dirty. I don’t mind of simple places, but I expect cleaning at least.

Location was decent but not sure where worse you would stay anyway. Not much to do even in the busy part of town

You should expect at least 50 minutes driving to reach the best beaches Google Maps does not know the correct entrance, so pretty difficult to find: just watch street signals No hot shower, like so many other houses. So, not really a minus
