It was okay—it tasted like homemade breakfast in a typical Kerala household. However, the view was amazing. We got to have breakfast with a view of the backwaters, and that was beautiful. I would have liked it better if they had given us at least one more option for breakfast.

The only problem I had was insects in the room— there were ants and some other flying insects. The worst part was that it was on the bed as well. We ended up carrying some of it home 🤣

Reserved the stay and while reaching the property the host was not answering the phone. Host hung up the call and later switched off the line. First of all the location provided on the app was not correct and the area nothing like described. Waited outside the property for about 15 minutes and nobody responded. It was around 10PM at night. Not at all recommended for family if this is how the host is about to treat the guests. How can we rely on the resort if we have to check in late at night? We had to roam around at night to find another property to stay. Totally disappointed

The hotel owner waited up for us to arrive at 1am, which was very sweet! We loved the breakfasts. They served us a different Indian breakfast each morning, and they were delicious every single time. Highly recommend just for this! The hotel is approximately a 5-10 minute walk from Cherai beach, which is a very quiet beach. Most days we were the only people there which was a surprise! There's a hotel / restaurant there which you can eat at, and along the road are a handful of small shops for snacks and drinks. A bit further (10-15) minutes in both directions from the hotel are local restaurants. We tried most of them and they were all great, serving fresh fish and delicious local food. This may have been the time of year, but there were no mosquitoes at all despite being right next to open water. A bonus!

There was very little to complain about, we had a very nice room with a balcony and the food was great. The only issue was the crows at breakfast. I'm not sure if this was because of the time of year, but we had to eat our breakfast in our room each morning because on our first day a crow flew into me and clipped my back whilst we were eating! Each morning after they would fly and sit on the ledge waiting for us, which was a little nervy. I'd recommend they put up some nets around the breakfast area to prevent the crows flying in. Like I said before though, this may have been because it was nesting season.

Very friendly warm hosts. Beautiful location, views to the backwaters and room.

Lovely staff and location ....very clean great shower and toilet

A small fridge would've been great though the landlady was happy for us to put our bottled water in ger in fridge

It’s a family business and the owners were very warm, friendly and accommodating.

It’s a basic place to stay at a great location.
