We had to cancel booking as the guesthouse told us they had no water

This place was an absolute gem. The location couldn’t be more perfect right next to the beach with an amazing view over the bay. The food was delicious, and it was just magical to eat in the dining area overlooking the water. The host family was unbelievably sweet, taking us into their home, showing us around their beautiful garden, and spending so much time chatting with us and making us feel welcome. We couldn’t feel more grateful for this experience!

Pamela and her family were wonderful hosts amd made me feel so welcome - nothing was too much trouble and they were lovely to chat to. The.location is fantastic - quiet and just up a path from a lovely beach with fun waves for swimming and sea turtles. You can listen to the waves in bed which I loved - very relaxing. Room is big and nice bathroom and shower. Mosquito net over the bed although I didn't see any the whole time. Dinner was good - especially the coconut prawns, and lovely view over the bay for meals. If you want quiet, relaxing, and not touristy this place is great. Will definitely come back one day.

Nothing. Only that I could not take the family's lovely dogs home to the UK with me 🙂

We have really apprecciated our stay at Surf Paradise. The family was incredibly nice and kind, it felt like home. The room is spacious and so is the bathroom. The breakfast was very good. We also had dinner here and it was pretty tasty. We sure recommend it!

The family is really welcoming you and trying to make you feel comfortable. The location is lovely, a few steps from a small quiet beach and with a table from which you can enjoy the sea view and sea breeze for both breakfast and dinner. The room was really huge and the bed comfortable. Everything was clean.

Compared with other accomodation I have been in Sri Lanka, I found this expensive. To be fair, the whole area between Unakuruwa and Silent Beach has higher prices than the rest, it's worth noting it.

Our stay was amazing. We were welcomed by a loving family who made sure that we were right at home. We had a lovely dinner made by the mother of the house. So make sure to accept their offer to eat here. The rice and curry is great! From the piece of land (passed on in the family for multiple generations) you have a good ocean view and a modest but very clean room. The family showed us with pride their garden with jackfruit-, breadfruit- and palm trees umong other plants. We can honestly say this place made us fall in love with sri Lanka and it's people. Please come here and walk in with an open mind and heart and you will, just like us, be dazzeled. Take time to appreciate the little joys of life next to an amazing beach where you can best surf very early in the morning.

The kindest family run this place! I felt very lucky to be welcomed into their home. It was so nice to have home cooked food, warm smiles, good conversations, and beautiful views right on the beach front. The place is located just by the surf break so you can watch surfers while eating your breakfast. The morning is a beautiful time there as the water glistens. A small taste of Sri Lankan life in a much less busy or touristy beach than others. So greatful.
