Friendly staff. Well decorated place.

Everything - Fryda is exceptionally helpful and an excellent cook! Her English is excellent, too. The homestay is spotlessly clean and cute decorations. Every room has a clothes drying rack, and they have clotheslines on the second floor. They have a fridge you can stire a small amount of food in and a shared kitchen with filtered water, coffee and tea available 24 hours in the main level common room.The upper level common room is huge, with a nice breeze blowing through. After walking around town, we chose to have all of our meals at Banana. I am a vegetarian, and Fryda has meals to suit vegans to meat eaters. The breakfast included a fruit plate and she provided a breakfast box to go the morning we went to Mt Ijen. The rooms are all named - we stayed in the one room (grilled banana) with air conditioning and a private bathroom, the rest have fans and shared bathrooms. The upstairs has 2 shared showers rooms and 2 toilets rooms, the lower level has 1 wet bath. Remember, it's a 10 star homestay, not a 5 star hotel. But the food was as good as any we've had in Indonesia. I wish I could post more photos, only 4 were allowed.

This homestay is run by a wonderful family. We had 2 reservations for 3 nights in a row,so I can post a few more photos - the common rooms and shared kitchenette and one of the upstairs shower rooms. Towels are provided for the room, towel exchande at the front desk.

Très bon homestay, on s’y sent bien ! Nos hôtes sont à l’écoute et propose de super petit déjeuner.

I had a really lovely stay at Banana Homestay in Banyuwangi. It’s a very comfortable place that isn’t too big, which made it feel calm and personal. I especially liked how it felt like being part of the family’s home rather than just a place to stay. The food was delicious, and I honestly wish I could have tried more of the different dishes they offered. They also helped me arrange a tour and get to my next destination, which I was really grateful for. A warm, welcoming experience that I’d definitely recommend.

Je donne 10 pour le merveilleux accueil et la disponibilité constante de Fryda et sa famille. Fryda m’a aidé pour l’achat du billet de ferry pour Bali et gentiment accompagné à une plantation de café. La chambre était bien équipée, l’AC silencieux et le lit confortable. Les petits déjeuners étaient délicieux 😋

Il n’y avait pas de rideaux aux fenêtres et la porte de la salle de bain ne fermait pas (les moustiques entraient par là)
