Stargazing Retreats Homestay

The location was a little out of the way, and outside of Camp Verde. We did not meet Kathy face to face, which was fine, but she was very attentive and was reachable when we got there and if we needed anything. It was great to be able to go to and from the inside and outside "houses" so we could sleep outside if needed, or inside if it was too cold. We opted to stay outside for a while after the sunset, and then go inside. It was nice to also have AC inside and outside as the dome was a bit warm when we went out, but cooled down quickly.

Not that we did not like it, but it was a little expensive. To be clear, you are paying for the experience, and the accommodations, not just the housing like a normal hotel. It was well worth it, but make sure that you are aware of this prior to booking.

Grounds look a bit scary. Needs a face lift . They are working on painting and picking up grounds. So I'm sure it will be beautiful in no time.

The bed was soooo uncomfortable I didn’t get any sleep. Two twin mattresses pushed together isn’t a king. It’s uncomfortable.
