Wee Wilds

Lovely place. Really close to things by car but felt like the middle of nowhere. A lovely walk up to the viewpoint from the doorstep. Lovely hosts.

Douche straal was wel heel dun, maar droeg bij aan de totale local experience ;-)

The owners are very nice. Also the location was on quiet place and we love the birds and red squirells. You can use 2 living rooms for relax.

The room was very small, we had to have our stuff on the floor. Also we had towels in the room, so sometimes were wet. You have to be prepared for sharing spaces and full house, so sometimes is busy and noisy. What I would really recommend is to have some kettle and sandwich toaster-if busy house, you have to wait for the stove..

The location was very peaceful and there are several walks from the house. The bedroom was spacious with a view out to trees and front garden. Plenty of parking. We loved watching the red squirrels in the mornings. The use of the kitchen until 9pm was brilliant. Robert was friendly and always around should we need him. The communal spaces were huge. We like sitting in the conservatory in the evenings.

There was nothing we didn't like.

La maison est accueillante et bien chauffée, on s’y sent parfaitement bien en rentrant de randonnée. Robert est un hôte très sympathique, on se sent tout de suite à l’aise. La cuisine est bien équipée pour cuisiner, même si plusieurs personnes cuisinent en même temps (il manque peut-être un grille-pain). L’ambiance est très détendue dans la maison, c’était très agréable et reposant (il y a en plus des jeux de société à disposition). Les alentours sont également charmants: un joli château, une colline avec une vue à 360 degrés, un calme absolu et des lapins, des vaches, des montons dans les pré tout autour…

Nous avions la chambre entre la porte d’entrée d’un côté et la salle de bain partagée de l’autre. Nous n’avons pas été réveillés la nuit par le bruit, mais si on va dormir tôt, c’est un peu inconfortable. La fenêtre de la chambre donne sur le chemin de l’entrée donc il faut fermer les stores pour avoir un peu d’intimité. Toutefois, cela n’a absolument pas gâché notre séjour et nous avons apprécié le temps passé chez Robert.

Cozy and homely atmosphere, calm and peaceful around, great and friendly host, nice breakfast. Parking place next to the building, rooms clean and comfortable.
