Everything but wifi signal

Wifi signal was weak

Had a pleasant stay and the food was delicious.

Very beautiful place to stay, in the tranquility of nature and close to many beautiful areas in the mountains near Neyyar Dam and Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Incredible staff and great value.

It's one of the best home stsy, staff excellent, especially food awesome.

We were on our bikes and had a very pleasant stop here. Nice room with large terrace. Hospitable, helpful and friendly staff. Absolutely recommended.

Pros - location is nice especially for walking into the neighbouring villages, into the rocky rubber plantations up the hill, and to the riverside. It was clean enough. They provide filter water. Shobi, the care-taker, is very sweet, and helpful. He’s always busying around the place. He also helped us use the laundry machine. The food was okay - even though the menu was small, they made different veggie meals for us during our stay - which was appreciated.

Cons The rooms definitely need maintenance, the first room we were shown was really run down with lots broken or needing repair - such as sink and wall hangar. The wall was suffering from damp damage from the bathroom. See photos. The second room, in which we stayed, was better- but still had some mould on the bathroom ceiling. When the other rooms (below and next door) were in use with other guests - you could hear quite a bit of noise. It was disappointing that the homeowners didn’t introduce themselves so lacked that more personal and authentic feel that we’ve had at the other homestays we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. This was disappointing especially after reading all of the amazing reviews??? It was a shame as dampened our overall experience of the stay. We stayed 4 nights, which in hindsight was way too long. 1 or 2 nights max would have been fine. That’s what most of the other guests seemed to do - come late and leave early.
