Hotel Mehara

+ location was good + water pressure in the shower was amazing! + airport drop off possible (probably also pick up)

- Room was not ready at check in time (1pm) . We arrived at 2pm and had to wait for 1 hour as the previous guests still had to check out (even though check out ended at 12pm) - Communication with staff was horrible! The lady at the reception could not speak/understand english and her translation app did not work well. Her boss speaks english but avoided talking to us. We had to confront him directly and ask him to come talk to us to solve the problems. He did not even apologize for our inconvenience until then. We would NOT come here again.

The owner is very friendly, attentive and helpful! The hotel is very close to the center.

I would have appreciated if the bathroom was cleaned daily. You might need earplugs, because of the mosque nearby.

Only that it’s central. AC was strong blowing on where you sleep, shower pressure good but barely any water from the tap.

Always smelled damp. Super worn down bathroom. Just next-door there’s a school and from 6 AM in the morning for at least an hour they play loud music on a repeat. The mattress was a softened foam mattress that has lost its memory and thus you were always sleeping on a concave mattress. To me this was extremely uncomfortable. Staff were kind and sweet with very limited English.

Clean and tidy, good air conditioning and water pressure. Safe and quiet at night. Easy to walk everywhere and home.

The location was great for Bajo, close to restaurants and tourist areas.

Bathroom wasn't very clean. In the morning we were trying to sleep and the staff were playing on their phones very loudly so that we couldn't rest. We asked them to turn down the volume but nothing changed, we had to leave to escape the jarring noise

The restaurant upstairs was delicious. And they will refill your water bottle as the restaurant doesn't sell plastic bottles. This was a bonus for me. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean.

Location near center, relatively cheap

Small room, only one usable electric socket
