We had a 5 day amazing experience. The host family was very helpful and sweet. they cooked amazing, delicious food for us. The rooms were very clean, the internet was good for working and having calls. ))

The host is really nice and helpful. The property is clean. Little bench to sit outside. A/c is also available and the garden is gorgeous. Breakfast was fine.

The place it’s a little run down, but other than that all god. :) Bathroom bucket should be changed, time to time place there a new one.

The most perfect homestay. Surrounded by nature. Emil and his parents are such lovely genuine people who couldn’t do enough for us. The food was 1st class, the best food we had in Kerala..The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Would highly recommend if you are alone, with friends a couple or family.

it’s a serene place away from the normal touristy crowds around a beach. it is very close to the beach. but to top it all is Emil and his father and mother. what an absolutely adorable and caring family. and the food they make is exceptional. we loved our stay and we will definitely be back again for more of such stays

I can’t think of any to be honest

The host, Emil and his family's love made this very beautiful homestay, even better. Located a short walk from a virgin strip of beach, this homestay had excellent rooms, ample space for kids to play, a delightful lotus and lily pond all at amazing value. Emil's family went out of their way to make me and my 5 y.o. daughter feel at home - including some very yummy home cooked meals. The beach nearby is quite incredible. Golden, soft sand, relatively untouched and unspoiled, with fisherman alternatively hustling about and kicking back. And sunsets to die for. And the entire experience was made that much more special by the genuine love we got from Emil's family as well as the very warm people of Mararikulam. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, tranquil homestay in a great location.

First of all it fits my description of a calm relaxing homely place that I wanted. I will list out the pros and cons for you guys as per my taste. PROS: 1- 200 meters to the beach, Not crowded almost private beach 2- Spacious room and Bathroom, hot water, cool ac 3- Comfortable Bed & Good Wifi 4- Flora and Fauna in the property 5- A beautiful pond and a relaxing porch to enjoy it all 6- Away from hustle and Bustle of the town, but close enough to hop a AUTO/TUKTUK and reach the alleppey town in 30 min max 7- Excellent home cook food 8- A taste of local culture in pure form 9- Above all a great host of Family- They are courteous, attentive, helpful and above all good genuine human beings, always there to help you and provide you with best without any issues. Emil - the son, is shy but he will be there to help you with everything to best of his ability. Mr. Abraham- the father, is always there to provide with all the necessities and does everything with a big smile. Aunty-the Mom- will give you a big smile and great tasty food. All of them have been the highlight of the stay. CONS: Literally nothing for me, i did not face any issues throughout the stay. It all boils down to what you are looking for and your taste, i love my nature, beach, local unadulterated people, local culture, access to honest local people along with all the good amenities that you need in a room. So stay here for a long peaceful and enjoyable time. Emil will help you get food from outside too, Houseboats and taxi, and autos for the best price in the town, i know because i have travelled to kerela many times, also he will show you fresh fish catches in the morning and get fishes for you to try in dirt cheap prices, I took this 15 minutes out of my time for this unbiased review, because some people just deserve your time, because they gave their time to you all the time.

We loved the kindness and hospitality of the hosts, Abraham, Emil and Charlotte. Such a lovely family! Emil was super helpful, a great guy! The rooms are clean, very bright and spacious. It's super close to the beach and with a very nice neighborhood. Strongly recommended!

It's very near to sea. The hotel is very pleasant and clean. Family who maintains this place were very humble and helpful. The food was awesome 👌.

The property was exceptional in all aspects, from excellent courteous host to wonderful location, neat and clean with ample space for parking and recreation

just a positive suggestion…would recommend for gates to be instilled soon
