The view is breathtaking. The rooms are spacious, new and clean. It's really a chill place. Pet friendly place also. Suggest checking the sunrise or sunsets.

It can get a little scary driving around the mountain area at night. The drive up to the parking area is quite steep. Going to Alishan through the mountains was... an adventure lol. Ask the owner for advice if youre driving towards Alishan. No food around the area, so you'll need to bring your own snacks or food, or eat before coming to the homestay. They do have a lot of biscuits and instant noodles and tea, but that's about it.

Everything was wonderful. The host family anticipates your needs before you need it. I traveled here alone to relax, hike the trails, practice TaiChi and meditate. I was without a car and knew about the lack of nearby restaurants and came prepared with a little food—but even that wasn’t really necessary. For those who don’t understand Taiwanese mountain culture, you may look at the breakfast packaging and misunderstand— thinking that the breakfasts were just picked-up old at a 7-Eleven. No. They are cooked fresh each morning from one of several local breakfast restaurants on a rotating basis; you get to order your breakfast from a menu the day before. Delicious! As many other reviews say, the herbal foot baths as the sun sets is a spectacular treat.

The owner is super nice, the room is very clean. Wonderful patio view! We all had a very good sleep there.

A bit distant from the town and Ali mountain. You need to have a car. But it's worth it.
