Casa Vila Rosa

Location was good - walked into town. Spacious and comfortable apartment. Host very helpful.

Very small inconvenience - searched high and low for a pot and/or frying-pan - could not find.

The room was immaculately clean, tastefully decorated & newly renovated with two lovely chairs & a comfortable bed. The fixtures, linen & toiletries provided are of good quality. Free street parking is easy & it is only a short walk into the centre of town.

Although this accommodation is self check in, they would not send the code until the time we nominated for checkin. If you will possibly be arriving earlier, I would advise nominating the earliest checkin time so the room will actually be ready. Luckily we had our own phone wifi this trip to be able to receive the code, but we had to wait for checkin. Our external door was locked so we had no accessibility to a terrace as listed, unless they meant our terrace to be the shared area just inside the gate. The kitchen including fridge is a shared one on the lower floor. We didn’t like not being able to have fresh air through open windows/door or the room plan with open toilet/bathroom situation.

We liked almost everything. It was a spacious room with a great sized bathroom and comfortable bed. It had a personal flair and lots of character. A balcony and a shared kitchen which was very handy. Host left coffee there and we could use the fridge/freezer.

The two air conditioning boxes on the balcony, one for our room and one for next door was annoying as they flooded the balcony with water and were loud. The construction noise from opposite the road and 2 doors down was a shame but not the hosts fault of course.
