Casa da Margarida - Área Privada na Casa da Anfitriã

Don’t book this apartment! They never showed up or replied to our calls or messages. We ended sleeping in a hostel for 1 night (thankfully) and then booking support help us finding a new solution and reimbursed us. If you look at the pics it seems abandoned.

Great location in a quiet residential street with no passing traffic , easy parking outside or in safe area 30 seconds walk away Great Mexican and super market 10 mins walk away Next to supermarket is the bus stop to the centre , 50 cents and 11 mins Away We only went once because mostly we spent the day sight seeing then did the Mexican or cooked our own There were two supermarkets close by and even the pineapple farm was in walking distance There are also some bars and restaurants which are great locals The kitchen is full size with dining table The lounge lovely and spacious Lovely decoration and comfy sofas Anna lives behind the property and shares the front door but we only saw a couple of times and she is lovely So helpful and easy to talk to The property holds 4 or more easily We stayed a week and it was a total delight and it’s exceptional value

Location is great, residential and quiet but within a short distance from the city centre. It has a lovely garden and all basic amenities. The apartment was clean and tidy. Ana was very kind, promptly helping us with everything we needed or requested.

The furniture is a bit old but other than that everything else was great.

There is a big and well equiped kitchen if you're willing to cook. Not our case

There is a balcony from the bedroom but no chairs or table to sit on. Owner shares the garden also but again no chairs or table to sit on. No restaurant nearby.

Casa da Margarida is a great budget stay in São Miguel. Ana was helpful, and welcoming and made a great effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. She changed our towels mid-through the stay and went out of her way to find us the parking app, which the locals I asked didn't know about! The house is big and has all the necessary equipment, with a full kitchen, fans in the rooms, and clothing lines for wet bathing suites. Overall the house is very comfy and paired with a rental car everything is close and easy to access. There's free parking out front and we could always find a spot.

The furniture and house are a bit old, and the beds were a tad too hard for me, but the others loved them. The outside furniture is nice, but not very comfy for sitting on for a longer while, so we would usually take the chairs out of the kitchen.

A lovely place to stay. The hostess and her brother were very friendly and helpful. The cats (particularly the black one) were a delight. I would be happy to stay there again if I were to come back to the Azores.

They could have made it rain a little less...

I stayed at Casa da Magarida for two nights and can highly recommend it. The bed room was lovely, and there was a fully equipped kitchen with several basics for cooking as well as tea and coffee, a living room and a bathroom that I could use. Parking was really easy in the neighbourhood, and a large supermarket was less thanks ten minute walkways. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and check-in was easy. I would definitely stay here again.

I liked that the property is away from the center of Ponta Delgada, as that makes parking and driving easy.
