Comfort La Española

Its a apartment where yu live with the owner of the house together. Milena was incredibly nice and friendly and helped me with every Question i got. The Bed was comfortable and you got a kitchen for free use. The area arround was safe. Its close to Getsemani, a main Spot in Cartagena.

I liked to work a bit so i wanted to book a room with a table. On the foto it was shown, but actually there was no table and seat in the Room.

Air conditioning was well functional as well as the fridge. The room and the bathroom have a lot of space. The host got in contact with us through WhatsApp way before our arrival to welcome us even though it was the 31st of December and it was late. Close enough to the castle but a bit far from the main touristic area, overall okay.

The room does not admit animals but dogs were all around the place, since the owner lives next door with two dogs and there was another dog in the above flat. Blankets were not in cotton. For an allergic person, these small details can make a difference.

It was clean

I booked a room with a private bathroom and no where on the description does it mention it is an external bathroom, if it stated this I would not have booked the property. This property is a small homestay in a gated community, when you put the name of the property in google maps, it takes you somewhere different, I had to ask my Uber driver to contact the owner to get the exact direction There is no signage outside the property, makes it extremely difficult to find the place, even though the owner knew I was nearby he did not even both to come out of the house to try and find me. On entering the property and discovering the situation with the bathroom the owner wanted me to call Booking customer service which I was not prepared to do after a long journey and at 2200 It is a 20 minute walk or a taxi to get to the centre. I’m a solo female traveller, I have never stayed anywhere before where the owner made me feel extremely uncomfortable, he was rude, almost to the point of threatening behaviour, I felt very apprehensive and slightly scared by his strange behaviour. He just sat in his chair, didn’t even bother to get up when I made the payment, totally unprofessional. He did not tell me anything about the property or the amenities, I believe the amenities listed are also incorrect on booking site

Oscar Luis was always available to help us with transportation and any questions that we had. The neighborhood is very friendly and safe. About 10 minutes taxi (12 000 pesos and you’re downtown Getswmani) and come back to a very relaxing area. As much filtered water as you need. Great value for the price!

Thankyou to Fernando & Adriana for the comfortable stay. The apartment was clean & lovely, use of the kitchen & laundry area. Bathroom is well set up & bedroom was comfortable.

Stayed in the same area beforehand & paid less. The area outside of the barrio La espanola is a little dodgy - just be safe when walking around outside of the barrio at night. Also no signage when looking for the accommodation. Nothing really to complain with the actual accommodation:)
