Rosa is the best hostess. We arrived late and she cooked us up the best steak and salad meal. Place is shabby-chic so if you like 5 stars with marble ensuite, this is not for you. If you like basic, quirky and welcoming, give it a try. We would definitely go back.

Traffic noise at night.

Close to the volcano and botanical garden

It was dirty, both the bedroom and the bathroom. The bar/restaurant space smelled very bad, like a smoky old bar. There was no fresh air in the room, only one window to the restaurant which smelled worse than the room. The towels and sheets looked dirty. Maybe they were washed but just very old. Also noisy, we could hear someone in the next room snoring and could hear everything in the restaurant. We booked for 2 nights but felt so uncomfortable that we left after one night. If you don’t properly clean the rooms and can’t even provide clean-looking towels and sheets, you should not let people pay to stay there.

We were not shown to our accommodation just pointed to and the key was in the door. there was no facilities a microwave but no cutlery plates or anything to cook. the location was in the car park/ Builders Yard / Car repair area. we were there for 10 days over Christmas and new year and no bedding or towels were renewed the whole time and we were excluded from the celebrations with other guests. on Christmas day we were given a dinner on our in a tiny eating area it the food was appalling and my wifes vegetarian requests were ignored

Shower and toilet are small and and inconvenient.

We really liked the whole atmosphere of the grand house. It felt so cozy and like home. Rosa the owner speaks several languages so communication was easy and she is as well very welcoming and helpful with everything. There is a huge terrace place with barbecue to chill out in peace. All in all we loved it and we even extended our stay for a day.
