Trinish homestay

The host and his family are incredible! He picked me up and dropped me off at the station. I had breakfast at the time requested every morning and after trying the 1 free dinner i decided to buy all my meals from them because they were so good. A true family experience - i loved interacting with their younger kid and the 2 daughters have been very kind and helpful! The bed and pillows were comfortable. The floors and the bathroom were extremely clean. The balcony photo with the view over the jungle is not from the house ;)There’s a small balcony which is a nice feature if you want to enjoy the fresh air, but no stunning views. Tea plantations and many waterfalls are easy to reach via bus and tuktuk/scooter.

It would have been nice to have a desk in the room. I was there for work and taking meetings from the bed/the stool wasn’t comfortable after 2 days. There’s no mosquito net: The host was very kind advising to close the windows at dusk, but there’s a small bathroom window from which they can enter (remember to close the bathroom door). The wifi was a hit and miss (Dialog 4G). Not their fault! I think the whole area had issues. The host was extremely kind and helpful and moved the router to my room to give me the best signal. I still managed to work using my data (Mobitel).

Very sweet family. I had a very good time. Location close enough to Adam's peak, away from the tourist crowds. Delicious dinners and pleasant chats.

The family was super nice and made you feel very comfortable. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. You have your own key so you can lock the door when leaving the house. Definitely would recommend

Nice and friendly Family, good Room, pick up at the Busstation. Owner shows you, if you ask, some good place to see in the Aera of Hatton. My favorite the old English Church with the wonderful view to the lake. The Tour cost you for sure extra.

One small thing, maybe one Pillow more, the Night is cold...I forgot to ask

Rajan ensured that I visited all the places at a reasonable price. Very humble guy, this place would be the best for travellers. Also... Food is great.

Most important is that this is a half pension/board place, including breakfast and dinner. Both are really tasty and way too much. So the price is more than excellent. The bed and room are big. The shower and water are warm but a bit low pressure. We did a waterfall tour with Trinish. 7 hours through the jungle and tea hills. The daughter, wife and husband are a golden trio. Really welcoming.

Unfortunately, no mosquito net.

Hosts are actually very kind and do the best to welcome well. Just beware that you are entering in a local's house with all that it cans mean (host are living there in family and handle with their daily routines) and everything will go right. Their food was also amazing ! And the father's family even came to pick me up at train station for free ! To the hosts : Thanks a lot for having welcomed me here !

We loved it here, Trinish and his family are really lovely! Amazing value for money, they offer a free pick up from the train station (only a 5 min walk away), free dinner and breakfast. We loved the dinner of traditional Sri Lankan curries. We stayed here for the Adam’s Peak climb - Trinish drove us to then mountain (we left at 12.15am) and back again for amazing value. The room was as expected and has everything you need!

Someone mentioned the small window in the bathroom with no glass, not ideal for bugs but to be honest we didn’t see many while here so was ok!
