It's a convenient location for sightseeing and safaris with many restaurants within a few minutes' walk. The host was friendly and approachable, and the breakfast was good.

The driveway is narrow, so if you're bringing a large vehicle, it'll require some careful driving and maneuvering. This wouldn't be a problem for 99% of vehicles.

Vriendelijke host, die veel moeite deed ons van ontbijt te voorzien, bij een supervroeg vertrek voor een dag vogels kijken. Comfortabel bed.

Helaas konden we maar 1 nacht blijven (ipv 2), doordat er iets met het verlengen van de boeking niet goed gegaan was….. balen, want deze locatie heeft een meer dan prima prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding!

Die Gastgeber waren super nett. Haben alle unsere Wünsche erfüllt. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und es gab alles was man braucht. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Es gab landestypische Gerichte. Sehr gut !

I can't say enough about the kindness of Upali and his family during our 4 night stay. Upali is always friendly, smiling and helpful. He picked us up in his tuk tuk at the train and his wife made us a delicious dinner as we arrived quite late. Upali will help you organize your stay and will provide you with transportation at reasonable prices. We visited Sigiriya and Dambulla one day and Anuradhapura the second day. I highly recommend both excursions. Our 3rd day we were rained out from a village visit but we enjoyed a down day and explored Habarana a bit. The rooms are a good size, a/c worked well and shower was hot. Breakfast was Sri Lankan and was huge and we could never finish it all. For the price you pay, the value was excellent. We were also able to use the kitchen fridge to store some food and beers. I highly recommend this homestay and hope you choose to stay at Dulwan Guest House. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

My only comment, which for the price paid, is not a negative...is we missed having some protein such as eggs at breakfast. The Sri Lankan choices were tasty but for our liking there was too much starch. We did buy some eggs at the local market and Upali boiled (and peeled!) them for us.
