⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review We had a really lovely stay at Beauty Hill. The accommodation was spacious, clean, and had fantastic views over Kandy. It was a peaceful spot, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The host was extremely helpful and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. He was accommodating in every way, and the food he prepared was delicious. The area itself was great too — quieter than the centre and friendly, with locals always willing to help. Overall, this is a place I’d definitely recommend to other travellers. Great host, stunning views, and a comfortable stay in a lovely part of Kandy.

Once at the accommodation, the owners were friendly and helpful. The view is as you see in the photos on their website.

Their communication with us could have been better. They should, as did the owner in one of our previous accomadation, warned us about access to their property. Very narrow and windy lanes. If we had known, we would have called from the bottom of the hill and asked for our bags to be taken up via tuk tuk. The description of the rooms should include the location of rooms within the house. Some people might not be able to climb the steep steps to the fourth floor, and we can make informed decisions on room selection if this information is in the description for the various rooms.

We didn’t opt for breakfast since we had to leave the hotel really early, but the owner was unbelievably sweet — she prepared a traditional Sri Lankan sweet for us, packed it up along with some fresh fruits, and handed it to us for the road. (We were actually very excited when we smelled something sweet in the kichen while heading to the terrace and then she surprised us with this!) We also got the chance to visit the terrace, and honestly, the view took our breath away. The hotel was literally up a hill and we could see the sunrise PERFECTLY from our room. Plus, the lake was only a short walk away, which made the location even more incredible. The manager was equally wonderful — they spoke excellent English and were always ready to help with anything we needed. Overall, we had such an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it!

The only thing that could be improved was the bathroom — it didn’t have many amenities and the door was almost see-through, which was a bit uncomfortable.

Excellent views! Highly recommended for the price. Breakfast was really good.

Wir konnten ganz spontan schon eine Nacht früher anreisen – der Kontakt über Booking war super unkompliziert und wir haben sehr schnell Antworten bekommen. Die Gastgeber waren freundlich, hilfsbereit und entspannt – als es am Anfang ein kleines Problem mit der Dusche gab, wurde sich sofort darum gekümmert. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber und gemütlich, mit einem tollen Ausblick und einem schönen, großen Balkon. Auch das Bett war sehr bequem – wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt! 😊

Einziger kleine Minuspunkt: Die Dusche wurde am ersten Tag leider nicht warm – am nächsten Tag hat dann aber alles problemlos funktioniert und die Gastgeber haben sich auch direkt darum gekümmert. 😊
