Ella value village

The family were really nice and welcoming and the breakfast was good.

We’ve stayed in many budget hotels and appreciate not to expect too much for the money, but our room was full of mould and smelled mouldy, even my clothes ended up damp and smelling of mould, as did the bed and the curtains had mould on too and I woke up coughing. There were missing lightbulbs, many plug sockets not working, the door felt like it was going yo come out of the frame, the pillows were so old and lumpy, not sure the blanket on the bed was washed, the shower just spat out water from lots of different places, the sink was mouldy. I could go on. It was very poor, even for what we paid for it. We couldn’t wait to leave.

Basic room with a very big bed. Bathroom with hot water. A bit out of the city center (5-8min by tuktuk), but we liked the calmness. Friendly family with two very social kids. They have a restaurant above the rooms, with nice breakfast and lunch/dinner.

There were some big mold/humidity stains on the wall next to the bathroom…

They provided complimentary breakfast which was very tasty and the response and service was very good

The stay is good overall but the place even though a hill stations isn't much cooler and as there is no fan it felt bit uncomfortable

Big room, clean and comfortable. It is run by a lovely family, and on the rooftop, they have a restaurant.

No hot water.

You get what is promised. Lovely family that receives you and tries to accommodate all your wishes in a very tailored way. High value for little money. We (family with five children) stayed three nights including breakfast, and each breakfast we got something different, it was prepared with lots of care, to give us a new experience each time. I can warmly recommend Ella Value Village.

For us, we liked everything, but do not expect warm water or quick wifi.

I stayed for 2 nights in mid-April. The place is run by a kind and welcoming family. The room was spacious and very clean. Although the location is a bit far from town and requires a tuktuk to get around, it was perfect for me as I could enjoy the peaceful surroundings and beautiful nature of Ella. The restaurant is located upstairs, where I had delicious local food for both breakfast and dinner. What impressed me the most was the owners’ two young sons who seemed in elementary school. They explained everything about the guesthouse and meals in fluent and polite English. They were incredibly cute and amazing!
