The owner is very welcoming and helpful with advice on activities and transportation. Breakfast is included and dinner can be arranged upon request. The room is super clean and comfortable.

The location is great because you are removed from Ella’s busy roads and surrounded by nature. You can walk down but you need a tuk tuk to get back up the steep road.

The homestay is on one of hillsides over Ella. The place is quiet and the view from the corner room is splendid, view on Little Adam's Peak. The hostess, Melanie, was great and so was her cooking!

The biggest advantage was it was super clean, smelled good and bed was very comfortable 👌 The host was friendly, and we really appreciate her warm welcome. We could enjoy tea and breakfast on the terrace. She also offered to help us with tuk tuk with better price. Location was on the top of the hill, so it took a while to get from the center but thanks to this it has nice view. We enjoyed going down to the railway and walk to Ella Rock.

Maybe a thing to wipe the floor after shower (water was hot 🙃). For some people location can be problematic but for us was OK to be away from the city centre.

Das Zimmer war groß und gemütlich eingerichtet, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Terrasse bietet den viel beschriebenen traumhaften Ausblick. Melani ist eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Frau mit einem wunderschönen Lachen. Man muss sich klar mschen, dass das Homestay weit oben über Ella liegt. Zu Fuss nach unten braucht man auch über die Treppen fast 30 Minuten. Man ist also nicht mal schnell im Zentrum.Wir haben nach oben häufig den spottbilligen Bus genommen. Da man aber auch bei Melani Dinner bekommt, mussten wir nicht jeden Abend wieder aufwendig runter und hoch. Wir haben 2 Nächte verlängert und hatten 4 wunderschöne Tage hier.

Das Frühstück ist schlicht. Zumindest verglichen mit den zahlreichen Guesthouses und Homstays, die wir bisher auf Sri Lanka hatten. Das hat jetzt nichts mit dem Homestay zu tun: in Ella wird Pick me boykottiert. Es gibt eine Art TukTuk Mafia, die unverschämte Preise verlangt, für eine 4km lange Fahrt hätten wir genau so viel bezahlen sollen wie für den Driver in Kandy, der uns den ganzen Tag durch die Gegend gefahren hat. Melani kann aber günstigere Konditionen vermitteln.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Melanie tut alles damit man sich wohl fühlt und hilft einem beim organisieren eines TukTuks, was in Ella nicht ganz leicht ist.

Es ist etwas weit weg vom Zentrum, daher wird ein Tuk tuk o.ä. benötigt

La gentillesse des hôtes et la vue jungle depuis le balcon de la chambre. Bon rapport qualité prix pour Ella. La chambre était très propre et spacieuse.

L’accès est difficile et assez mal indiqué sur Google Maps. La location d’un scooter est nécessaire pour se déplacer aux alentours.

Warm ontvangst door Melani. Zeer ruime propere slaapkamer en badkamer. Alles was bij aankomst nog nieuw. Parkeren op privé terrein. Warme douche. Handig droogrekje. Klamboe. Ontbijt elke dag anders en voldoende. Mogelijkheid om s’avonds te dineren door Melani gekookt. Wel op te geven de dag ervoor. Weg van het drukke centrum. Indien de mogelijkheid om hier te verblijven zeker niet twijfelen. Slechts 3 kamers!!

Melanie was a great hostess, the accommodation was very clean. We went out for dinner on the first day but when we ate at the homestay day two we were sad we didn’t eat there the first day. Sri lankan dinner there was just amazing. Other than that she was helpful with arranging tuktuks lower than ella tuktuk prizes a nice bonus when the homestay is further up the mountain but all for that amazing view! I would recommend anyone that is looking for an authentic experience for a friendly price.

Fantastic owners!!! Excellent, varied and tasty breakfast. And you can also have dinner here for a reasonable price. The room and bathroom are simple but functional and very clean. Beautiful walking environment. Here you can experience something of Sri Lankan life in the mountains. Lovely covered balcony with table and chairs where you can eat and enjoy the beautiful view. Good WiFi and the bed was wonderful! Stayed 4 nights longer than I had planned. Highly recommended! Excellent price-quality ratio.
