Royal Homestay New Hampi

Decent property with basic amenities. Double room with large beds, good for my family of 5.

Garbage dump behind the house, leading to a lot of insects entering the house via windows. Towels were not changed everyday. We had to ask to change the towels after 2 days, and the owner was reluctant to change them. No option for food after you reach home in evening. We had to order dinner from Hospete via Zomato.

Staff very friendly and kind, clean room, quiet neighborhood, excellent quality/price ratio

No walkable distance from hampi monuments (but still not too far)

- WiFi is slow sometimes it doesn't work - Powercuts - The place is surrounded by garbage and trash, from the balcony you can see dumped trash everywhere - Ridiculous checkout time (9am)

New Hampi is a nice place as a base for visiting Hampi (although Hampi itself would be better). From there you can take a bus or auto rickshaw. There are bicycles for rent in the area (the terrain is flat and the monuments are easily reached by bicycle). The room is not very big, but clean.

The room is next to a street with lots of traffic noise from bikes.

The owner made us feel at home!

The owner was very helpful with recommendations and also stored luggage until we left in the evening at 9pm. The room was very clean, spacious and I slept in the bed the best I have in weeks. The bathroom was spotless and towels soft and clean. He also gave us an extra bed sheet to cover at night as the blanket was too hot for us. The property is a short Auto ride from main Hampi. We hired a scooter (a few available in old Hampi for 400INR/ day) and managed to get around very easily to see all sites and other side of river. It’s a very convenient and quiet location.

Nothing we stayed an extra day as we were very happy with it.
