Sadula Home Villa Ella

Dit verblijf ligt voor zij die graag wandelen op wandelafstand via mooie wegen tussen de theevelden door van zowel Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak en de stad Ella, maar ook een korte rit met de tuktuk is uiteraard een optie. Wat me vooral zal bijblijven is het vriendelijke onthaal en de kamer/terras met mooiste uitzicht tot dusver en een uitgebreid zeer lekker ontbijt.

Er is geen airco, maar koelde gelukkig s’avonds wat af in Ella waardoor het alsnog aangenaam slapen was.

Siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e calore dal padrone di casa che ama intrattenersi con gli ospiti ed è molto disponibile ad aiutare e dare consigli. Plaltro punto di forza è l'eccellente cucina casalinga: colazione ricca (ottimo the biologico, diversi tipi di omelette, tramezzini, frutta ecc) e cena tipica altrettanto buona anche per vegetariani. Una casa semplice, in una zona tranquilla.

Qualche problema con la doccia e l'acqua calda.

It was a very pleasant stay. We were treated like family members. It's a bit far from the town though. But it is relaxing and calm. Beds were comfortable.

Very nice quiet location with a gorgeous view from the balcony. Our family had the top floor to ourselves and a very comfortable and a memorable stay. The host family is lovely, friendly and going out of their way to help with any requests. We also had the most delicious dinner and breakfast in our whole 3 week tour of Sri Lanka! Please note there is no AC, but the rooms have a fan and that was more than in enough, as Ella is much cooler. We loved spending time in Sadula home stay. It was great to relax with a book and a cup of tea on the balcony after early morning hike. The host even picked a bag of avocados from their tree for us to take on our ongoing trip. Our teens became friends and organised a movie night together ( with Sinhala subtitles :) Wished we could stay longer and would highly recommend this home stay.

Jagath was a great host. Him and his wife were so accomodating to all of our needs while we stayed with them. We both had large upstairs rooms with private bathrooms which were excellent. It was originally his grandfathers house with most interiors being handmade. The breakfast they prepared every morning was such a tasty traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. And on arrival, and every evening, he prepared tea for us. Would highly recommend.

The most beautiful homestay in the pristine hills of Ella. The size of the room, cleanliness, friendliness and attentiveness of the family, the delicious and generously sized breakfast and the most BREATHTAKING views, made this the perfect stop on our family road trip in Sri Lanka. Thank you for having us and for sharing your Sri Lankan hospitality ☺️

One of the best experiences in Sri Lanka was to meet Jawad: he welcomed us so nicely, was very open to exchange, always taking his time with us, we were asking all the questions we had in mind about the country. Room was clean. The view and the breakfast fantastic. I have a gluten allergy and he arranged everything for me. The tuk tuk was arranged by Jawad, less than 10 minutes to the city center. The place was quite calm except from some cars you can listen from the main road but in the evening very calm. It was perfect. Thank you so much.

Fantastic host who organised trips, transport and provided delicious meals. Really friendly and helpful. Loved the views and being that short tuktuk trip (600rp) out of Ella was so peaceful. Thoroughly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay. The house is in a beautiful location with amazing views from the terrace and balcony. We had two rooms with a door to the balcony, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka – lots of options and even packed to go. The host was very kind and caring, and the price was excellent for the value. It felt like a truly local experience. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it for a local and budget-friendly experience.

The location is about 20 minutes from the center, so you might need a tuk-tuk if you don’t feel like walking. Wi-Fi was a bit weak, and while everything was comfortable, a little extra care in a few small areas would make it even better.
