Mamma our host was so accommodating! We arrived at 2:30 am after our bus was delayed, she let us in, made us tea and gave us all the information we needed to have a great stay! She also liaises with local tuktuk driver Dinesh who was so much fun!!!

The pool out front would have been lovely if it was in use, sadly only the terrapins got to swim!

The staff was nice. But that's about it And saw a snake in the garden. Got a fresh mango and tea when we came in. And officially not offered but they have WiFi.

The room is beyond tiny, the door couldn't even been opened, fully. The wall hasn't seen paint for years, dirty stains on the wall. Beds are extremely short. It's a home stay but we didn't feel like staying in the living room. The shower is in the adjacent bedroom, which they also rent out. But you have to walk through this. No bottle of water as suggested. The door doesn't close easily. Also the conversion about money started with that it's really slow, and if we wanted the bigger room for more. And a sort of a felt like pressure that it everything was expensive. Also that forgeiners pay more and want more than tourists. But on the other hand talking about solar panels etc so it was contradicting. The bathroom is dirty, hasn't been cleaned in along while. Shower barely works. Sink tap doesnt work, there was still a razor from the previous guests. My suggestion is clean everything properly, and paint the small room and bathroom. Remove the hot water boiler if it doesn't work. And get some numbers for tuktuk drivers for the ancient city tour. It was all if they didn't do this often.

We booked the budget room with shared bath and as there was nobody there, they wanted to offer us a room with own bath, but expected more money of course (6.000Rs instead of 4.200 for 3 nights). In the end we got a room with own bath but lacking roof (when raining) for slightly higher price than the one we booked (4.500); but also she said optional to pay even a bit more if we are satisfied (500Rs). The lady had to phone her son several times for asking as he manages the bookings. The lady is sweet and friendly, but still with asking for Wi-Fi, laundry etc she complained about rising costs, what always gave us the feeling maybe she wanted more money. She didn’t offer breakfast in the first place, so we also didn’t ask and just prepared our own, but many times she brought us different mangos from the garden. The whole place is nice and spacious, the house and garden are beautiful what gives it a lot of potential, but the rooms itself lack of renovation, that’s a real pity. Also I think they should adjust mosquito nets to all windows, so you can open them for fresh air, especially when you don’t book the A/C (we didn’t). All in all a nice stay.

No warm water in shower and quite loud noises in the night from the roof from different animals We still wonder how they manage if every room is booked- she told us to use the bathroom from the room next door, if we would’ve kept the room, so if all rooms with bathroom are booked, are we supposed to knock and use the private bathroom of other guests?

Super friendly woman who gave us fresh mango and we saw monkeys in the garden

It wasn’t clean and we couldn’t sleep because it was way too hot in the room.
