die Basic- Zimmer ganz unten riechen muffig und sind feucht, das Badzimmer ist eine Feuchtzelle, der Klodeckel verschiebt sich!!! Die Fliesen im Aussenbereich fallen von der Wand. Die unteren Zimmer benötigen Renovierung. Der Preis war angemessen dafür.

The view is incredible from this property, it is well worth the steep hike up to the property!

The photos on booking.com are not an accurate reflection of the reality of this property. Considering the price point, I was expecting the property to be very clean, with clean towels, good bedding etc. The bed is rock solid, towels look ancient and smell musty, the room smells of bad drainage, we could hear rats squeaking all night and there is a peep hole in the bathroom which you can clearly hear through and must lead to one of the owners rooms as you can hear them in loud conversation the whole time. The owner advertising laundry and makes no mention of a fee, but when we checked out we saw we had been charged for this service which was never communicated to us when we asked. The owner also arranged a Tuk Tuk for us to the tea factory, with his friend. This was pushed on us constantly despite us being happier to arrange our own transport and plans. We expected to go there and then come back to the homestay as my partner felt unwell but the driver took us to a waterfall afterwards which we never asked to do and as my partner was unwell we were planning to go back to rest. The driver spoke little to no english, and then charged us 7500 LKR for a trip we didn’t even want. We felt totally taken advantage of. We didn’t feel clean, it was a real shame as based on the price point and photos I was expecting to be far more comfortable here. If the price point were lower and the photos more accurate representation of the reality then we wouldn’t have been left so disappointed. If you prioritise cleanliness then I do not recommend. Ultimately, we checked out early and booked into another hotel as we couldn’t stand to stay another night. All very awkward as the owner kept asking us questions about where we were going etc and we just wanted to get out of there.

Prachtige plek met een prachtig uitzicht! Super lieve mensen die elke dag een heerlijk ander Sri Lankaans ontbijtje klaar maakten. Topplek!

Het uitzicht is niet normaal, comfortabele kamer, locatie 6 minuutjes Tuktukken naar het centrum en het ontbijt ook heel lekker. Aanrader!

Notre hôte a été adorable, très arrangeant. Petit déjeuner très bon. Vue magnifique au réveil

La salle de bain n'était pas impeccable et nous avons trouvé des grosses araignées dans la douche. Le reste de la chambre était niquel.

De homestay heeft een fantastische ligging waar je vanuit je bed uitkijkt op zowel Little Adams Peak als Ella Rock. Het is wel en kleine klim vanaf de weg om er te komen, maar dit is het absoluut waard. De gastheren zijn super vriendelijk en regelen alles voor je. Het is een heel klein stukje uit Ella maar met een tuktuk (die de gastheren kunnen regelen voor heel weinig tot geen geld) ben je er zo. Ontbijt was super lekker en kon op elk gewenst tijdstip gemaakt worden. Leuk om te weten: vanaf deze locatie ben je al een stukje op weg naar de top van Ella rock!
