Duvi's Shelter Bungalow

Dumi's Shelter is the loveliest and most peaceful place you could hope to stay in Colombo, located in the heart of Battaramulla It is walking distance to the visa office, and also, of interest, to Parliament, and is an easy bus ride to Colombo Fort / Pettah and other places around town The rooms are of an extremely high standard, with private terraces to enjoy the idyllic garden setting, and the hosts are very, very kind

Nice new house, generous sized bedroom and bathroom. The owner and his wife are very friendly.

The bathroom didn’t have windows or extractor fan, the bedroom smells a little.

The hosts are very well organized and extremely reliable. I have had trouble with bookings in Sri Lanka, on occasion. No such trouble with Dumi. After arrival also, Mr & Mrs Dumi were very helpful and accommodating with whatever requests I had. The room is top notch -extremely clean and tidy, with heat pump, fan and nice furniture. The room is also serviced and all the other listed amenities were provided. Tea bags, coffee sachets and bottled water is also provided.

It’s a comfortable and quiet place in Battaramulla although only a short walk away from the main road. We spent ten nights here and everything was good. The house is modern and well designed, with high ceilings, balconies and lot of windows.The room was very clean and all the amenities were as mentioned. Dumi is a caring host who paid attention to every little detail. Dumi and his family were always at hand and were very helpful. We will definitely book again!
